Vista and Code.org
Empowering the Next Generation of Software Leaders
For today’s students, education is not enough. They need access to the digital economy. At Vista, investing in the software ecosystem is of paramount importance. Through our partnership with Code.org, Vista and our companies are helping to ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn computer science. Through our hands-on coding events and investments in Code.org, we can empower the future of our technology community.
The Hour of Code is a grassroots campaign started by Code.org and supported by over 400 partners, including Vista and our companies. Through this global movement, we are demystifying code through a one-hour introduction to computer science.
Code.org is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by women and underrepresented minorities. The organization’s vision is that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science, just like biology, chemistry, or algebra. Code.org provides the leading curriculum for K-12 computer science in the largest school districts in the United States and Code.org also organizes the annual Hour of Code campaign which has engaged 15% of all students in the world.
