VP Sales Support

Summary

The VP of Sales Support will be the leader for three areas critical to supporting sales: pre-sales support (solutions consulting), sales training and enablement, and sales operations. Some responsibilities of this role include sales reporting & analysis, quota setting, territory planning, sales process & tools, sales compensation, sales talent management, Salesforce.com CRM, pre-sales tools and demos, and more. The individual will be a key lieutenant to the President and measured by the success and productivity of the sales organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage high performing teams in sales operations, pre-sales, and sales enablement
  • Design optimal sales territories and quota plans, aligned with best market opportunities
  • Working with HR and senior sales leadership, design and manage sales commission plans
  • Drive adoption of and optimize highly effective sales and pre-sales methodologies
  • Develop effective pre-sales tools such as tailored demos, ROIs, discovery docs, and proposals
  • Work with HR to profile, source and recruit top sales and pre-sales talent
  • Work with HR to implement KPIs and performance management for sales organization
  • Build and improve sales enablement capability including training, coaching and tools
  • Work with Finance to manage and improve sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting
  • Work with IT to manage and improve use of Salesforce.com CRM system
  • Develop sales reports and other intelligence to improve win-rates and sales productivity

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years management in one or more of sales operations, support and enablement
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft, CRM (ideally Salesforce.com), and BI tools
  • Experience of working in a B2B enterprise software and/or SaaS organization
  • Track record of scaling and being in businesses over $100M in size
