IT Manager

AGDATA is currently searching for a hands-on IT Manager who will lead an internal-facing IT team (with 3-4 direct reports) responsible for service desk operations, desktop support, telephony, A/V, messaging, Office 365 and more.   The ideal candidate is someone who wants to grow with AGDATA, learn and understand our business, and take on increasing levels of responsibility.


Service Desk Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a broader operational team to influence the forward direction of service desk operations including, but not limited to, platform selection, skills matrix creation, routing, notification and escalation processes and procedures


Supervision and Development

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the internal-facing team (3-4 direct reports)
  • Responsible for proper resource scheduling and coverage planning
  • Develop, coach and motivate the team to ensure delivery of a superior experience
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for new IT team members


Operational Management

  • Effectively participate with user inquiries and manage escalations
  • Recommend service improvement activities and manage their deployment, as appropriate
  • Take ownership of notification/escalation tools, and the creation of procedures to ensure that issues are routed to the appropriate individuals throughout various teams
Skills & Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

  • 8+ years of related IT experience
  • 3+ years Management or Supervisory/Technical Lead experience in an internal IT support environment
  • Technical Certifications such as A+, Net+, MCSA, MCSE and/or Change Management/Service Management Certifications such as ITIL Certification are preferred, but not required
  • Solid understanding of resource and SLA management
  • Demonstrable focus, resilience, and the problem-solving skills to develop solutions in a changing environment. The judgment, maturity, and savvy to manage up and down effectively, working and delegating in order to meet aggressive deadlines and ambitious goals
  • Ability to maintain operational effectiveness in a high pressure, changing environment
  • Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities and processes
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
