Vice-President, Product Development

Duties: Lead multiple product lines – driving adoption and momentum throughout the organization and the industry. Play a key role in determining long-term product portfolio vision and direction, and creating Annual Product Roadmap. Serve as the ‘voice of the market’ inside of the organization and foster close relationships with all key market constituents (clients, evaluators, prospects, competitors) to define product strategy and ensure it’s current and relevant. Perform and communicate through product owners and business analysts proposed products and initiatives, including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis, industry best practices, and product development timelines. Plan, prioritize and facilitate the ongoing development of the product lines from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue and meet operational, financial and corporate objectives. Manage a team responsible for delivering product enhancements and new products/solutions, onboarding clients, and supporting current clients (including defect management). Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure pricing and go-to-market strategies, plans, and activities are aligned with the strategic vision.
Requirements: Employer will accept Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field; and 3 years of work experience in job offered or 3 years of work experience in a related occupation. Experience must include: managing a team; working with software engineers in an Agile environment; building and launching software applications for the on-demand or SaaS environment; analyzing market drivers to distill real market needs; interacting with department leaders and influencing marketing, R&D, sales and services, as well as clients and partners; managing the end-to-end product life cycle for both new and established product lines; experience in product management best practices including product planning, customer discovery, market analysis, pricing/packaging, product development processes and effort estimation ; experience using tools like VersionOne or JIRA to manage product backlogs and priorities.
