We have multiple openings for an Event Planner on our supply team, whose main responsibility will be sourcing venues for inbound event demand and building client-facing event proposals. This role will be responsible for the pre-sales, event planning process; will collaborate with the Account Managers to sell the event and the Event Ops team to execute the event, post-sale.



  • Collaborate with Account Manager(s) to gather client event needs
  • Conduct market research, source venues, gather information and negotiate contracts for event proposals
  • Compare venue contracts/BEOs against details within the client facing proposal to ensure consistency including (date/ time/ headcount/ menu/ etc.)
  • Ensure venue compliance with insurance and legal obligations
  • Collaborate with venues to answer client’s pre-sales questions
  • Foster connections between the venues and Kapow’s partnership sales team to help bolster the event marketplace
  • This role will be responsible for planning events across the country but will not be expected to be on-site for the events



  • Bachelor’s degree is required (strong academic performance is desired)
  • 2+ years of related professional event planning/coordination experience
  • Strong ability to manage clients and vendors and develop long term, trusting relationships
  • Creative, innovative and insightful on local and national event trends with a passion for consistently planning great events
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced, dynamically changing environment
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment but also exercise and act upon independent judgment with vision, confidence and a discerning eye towards delivering “experiences”
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding event details
  • Vendor/partner management and negotiations skills
  • Strong oral, written communication, and creative writing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Salesforce experience a plus
  • Can do attitude, sense of humor and desire to have fun
