Senior Product Manager

Cvent is looking for a Product Manager to join our rapidly growing company in our Vancouver office to work on our Mobile product line. As a Product Manager, you will help execute on the vision of the product roadmap. You will lead multiple agile scrum teams to execute projects while demonstrating sound judgment, critical and analytical thinking skills, leadership, and a sense of urgency. Fostering a team environment of shared ownership and being able to drive decisions effectively within the technology and business teams is essential.

The scope of responsibility includes:

  • Support the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning and conceptualization to tactical activities to meet company goals
  • Partner with customer-facing teams cross-functional teams on customer needs and sales funnel
  • Partner with internal teams on business requirements documents, and business process flow diagrams and other documentation needed for internal communication
  • Be a creative force in working closely with the user experience team to deliver state-of-the-art user experiences
  • Own the product requirement clarifications and definitions
  • Be the escalation point and decision-maker regarding business rules or clarifications during development and certification cycles
  • Oversee development, testing, and deployment to ensure product adherence to original specifications and successful deployment
  • Proactively manage and balance multiple stakeholders’ expectations regarding feature request prioritization and deployment
  • Participate in release meetings with senior management, providing insight and business perspective for new features
  • Communicate and provide training on new product enhancements
  • Evangelize products internally across all functions of the business
  • Support sales efforts with participation in prospective client/partner meetings, as required
  • Lead competitive analysis efforts as it relates to marketing, sales and product strategy
  • Develop and maintain a keen understanding of competitive products and offerings
  • Participate in market and industry research to keep abreast of event planning and meetings management, applying market intelligence findings into product features and enhancements


Skills & Requirements

Skills/Qualifications We Are Seeking

  • 5+ years of product management experience, leading teams, working closely with user experience designers and engineers in the development of web and/or mobile products
  • Solid understanding of agile product management and software development methodologies
  • Passion for building great products that make users’ lives better
  • Proven ability to interact and collaborate across the organization, including working closely with marketing, sales, professional services and customer support
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to drive clarity and precision in product requirements
  • Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks, while driving results
  • Intense curiosity and ability to learn the event business quickly
  • Experience working confidently and independently in dynamic environments
