JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis partners with key stakeholders across the company to provide decision-making support, reporting, driver-based planning and forecasting and financial analysis; and plays a key role on the FP&A team to create consistent, standardized planning and forecasting across the company

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 

  • Partner effectively with all parts of the business to develop and improve the accuracy of driver-based financial plans and forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate performance against those business plans and budgets in a timely and accurate manner
  • Lead the design and build of reporting processes to deliver high quality business insight and supporting commentaries
  • Manage, lead and develop a team of financial analysts effectively, ensuring the team produces accurate, timely and relevant analyses in a consistent manner
  • Ability to produce timely and insightful ad hoc analysis, including but not limited to product P&Ls, deal/contract analysis, product P&Ls and multi-year strategic project business cases and forecasts  
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders in functions and teams across the business
  • Serve as finance lead on the development of annual operating budgets, monthly and quarterly forecasts and other corporate updates summarized by P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Identify opportunities to improve EBITDA performance
  • Perform financial analysis to interpret trends, variances from plan/forecast
  • Assist with financial and operational due diligence and integration of potential mergers and acquisitions
Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or Accounting; MBA preferred
  • EXPERIENCE:  Minimum 5 years’ experience; financial/business analysis in the software industry preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

 

  • Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Working knowledge of designing and building reporting processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative skills with ability to take complex factors and create concise decision-supporting analyses
  • Strong relationship building skills with ability to engage business leaders as a finance partner
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and produce consistent positive results in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to challenge business assumptions in a respectful yet vigorous way
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly and apply knowledge to differing situations
