Role Summary:

The Product Manager has global accountability for the commercial success of the product or service. The role is responsible for the complete life cycle of the product, creating the annual roadmap and ensuring that teams deliver high quality products on time.

This role is to take on product management responsibility for the Allocate Reporting products.

Allocate is the market leader in workforce management in the UK health sector with over 80% of NHS Trusts using our software. There is also considerable growth in international markets providing an exciting opportunity to own the reporting products. This will include the delivery of a new reporting platform for the business and to deliver next generation reporting capability for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive overall product vision, strategy and metrics for your products or service
  • Manage and define product road map working with cross functional teams to deliver
  • Communicate product strategy to cross functions teams
  • Gather and analyse data from internal and external sources to inform decisions for your product roadmaps
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and R&D
  • Determines and defines product pricing
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
  • Write business cases for new products or product enhancements
  • Set clear goals and prioritisation for development of your products

Qualities/Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of reporting solutions, BI and analytics. in a Cloud hosted SAAS environment
  • Appreciation of reporting database design and handling of very large complex datasets
  • Able to be hands on with the solutions and able to elevate to defining product strategy and writing business cases
  • Self-starter, able to launch new products to market
  • Passionate about data and BI
  • Excellent generalist - working across multiple functions, knowledgeable and able to guide and make decisions
  • Leading and influencing across the business to achieve product success
  • Financially aware, able to analyse and plan
  • Planning and strategic skills – able to formulate product roadmap and marketing strategies
  • Ability to execute - take the product or service along the lifecycle
  • Great communicator (listening, writing, speaking)
  • Willing to travel, including international travel
