JOB SUMMARY:

The Product Marketing Specialist will work within the Product Marketing team to assist in the positioning of Omnitracs products in the market, coordinate product launch activities, manage sales enablement activities and ensure alignment of marketing activities with the organizational goals. This position will work closely with sales, marketing communications and product management to create external tools and marketing campaigns to support sales cycles and lead generation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist with developing marketing strategies, positioning, and compelling messaging for Omnitracs products
  • Coordinate product launch activities with various internal and external teams
  • Create and manage marketing collateral for various products across the product portfolio
  • Act as the “voice of the customer” and subject matter expert for market intel and solutions and Omnitracs products
  • Perform market research (competitors, audience, market trends) and use the information gathered to inform marketing decisions and strategy
  • Work closely with the campaign planning team to develop the core strategies and goals for all outbound marketing activities
  • Assist the marketing communications team in the development of though leadership content
  • Manage sales enablement activities which includes sales support tools and materials and product training

·        Actively engage with Sales to develop tools that improve sales effectiveness

  • May require some travel (up to 10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree, concentration in marketing, business management or communications preferred
  • EXPERIENCE:  1-2 years of marketing experience preferably in a business-to-business (B2B) environment; experience in collaborating with a variety of functional business areas such as Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Training and Business Systems preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts, translate them into high-impact messages and drive cooperative marketing activities
  • Basic knowledge of marketing strategies, tools and communications such as value propositions, messaging, brochures, blogs, newsletters, industry articles and sales presentations
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with a strong attention, to detail, grasp of grammar rules, and expert PowerPoint skills
  • Proven ability to write quickly, clearly, and succinctly regarding technical topics for a variety of media; print, video, social
  • Knowledge of high-tech and commercial transportation market
  • Proven ability of working efficiently and collaborating with other departments and teams
  • Demonstrates an entrepreneurial work ethic and a willingness to go above and beyond the role’s core duties and responsibilities
  • Project management with focus on detail oriented, strong and creative problem solving skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to multitask and produce results in a fast-paced team environment with varying requirements and deadlines
  • Ability to manage strategic and tactical marketing requirements
  • Ability to independently produce consistent results with minimal direction or supervision
