Technical Sales Consultant, Event Solutions

We have a Technical Sales Consultant position open in our Event Solutions division for a talented and motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environments. Your primary responsibility will be to demonstrate and share the value of more technical aspects and components of Cvent’s Event Management software solutions-- all in the name of closing more new booked business licenses for our Event platform clients. You will be running all product training for new sales hires and internal sales transfers. There are a myriad of other activities and special projects and therefore no two days are ever the same.

Position Duties:

  • Drive the process of helping prospective customers understand detailed product information
  • Contribute in the setup strategy and design of higher profile, higher dollar, or sophisticated sales demo events when necessary
  • Consolidate and prioritize prospects’ desired functionality attained in the sales process
  •  Work with marketing team, tech team and sales team to create and maintain more technical sales collateral and documentation
  • Have strong foundation of integration options for Cvent's various products
  • Travel with sales executive for onsite demos when appropriate, up to 25% of your time
  • Train and offer product knowledge and education to the sales team, demo team and RFP writer team
  • Train new hires during Cvent University on product knowledge
  • Assist with responses related to deeper product questions posed in RFPs
  • Interface with management and product development teams regarding enhancements
  • Assist with user testing sessions and provide feedback on new product releases
  • Help maintain and build app demos for the Sales team to use on sales calls
Skills & Requirements

  • Excel at developing relationships over the phone
  • Flexibility to arrive early or leave late depending on when demos are scheduled
  • Must be articulate, organized, detail-oriented
  • Must be able to multi-task in a dynamic environment while working with many teams
  •  Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be very organized in managing schedule and follow up
  • Team player and contribute to team initiatives
  • Proficient using general office software applications
  • Experience using sales automation products such as Salesforce.com and web collaboration tools like WebEx
