Position Summary:
As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for innovation, development and management of our product engineering teams.  You will define and drive software development and good practices and link them to market requirements.  If you love working with stakeholders to define requirements, driving the design and implementation of applications that satisfy those requirements and delight customers, this is the role for you.  Come join us and help make a difference.

 

 

In This Role You Will Often:

  • Determine and execute Product Engineering strategic imperatives, approaches, operational metrics, staffing plans and budgets
  • Define and adapt Product Engineering organizational structure to ensure staff alignment with current and planned needs
  • Own the fulfillment of the customer Product Roadmap
  • Oversee the creation and fulfillment of the technical roadmap
  • Implement best practices in software development and mentor others in the technology department
  • Establish annual and long-range product portfolio and development budgets and manage adherence
  • Collaborate with business to drive innovation through the selection and introduction of appropriate technologies
  • Partner with Cloud Operations to ensure operational targets and customer-facing SLAs are met
  • Establish departmental standards and procedures to manage Product Engineering in areas such as software development, security, quality assurance, automation, integration, maintainability and performance
  • Jointly maintain and execute with Information Security policies and procedures to ensure security within software including the secure software development lifecycle and secure coding practices
  • Establish and manage all product engineering policies and procedures
  • Ensure key performance indicators, project and technical risk management programs are in place to deliver software and solutions on time and with high quality
  • Champion technology and product across NAVEX Global departments
  • Work cooperatively and jointly with Services to provide quality customer experience
  • Identify, select and manage key technology vendor relationships
  • Participate in merger and acquisition evaluation and integration activities
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, techniques, and trends and implement those that are applicable to the business
Skills & Requirements

This Job Might Be For You If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of commercial experience in software development with budgetary and managerial authority
  • Experience managing and scaling large global engineering teams
  • Experience building applications using AWS along with decomposing and migrating workloads to AWS
  • Knowledge of and experience in application security and secure coding practices
  • Good understanding of and experience with programming concepts such as design patterns, encapsulation and inheritance, database design and software architecture
  • Experience running and scaling high-availability, high-transaction, and secure n-tier SaaS architectures
  • Hands-on experience with agile software development practices, unit testing and continuous integration environments
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and integrating acquired technologies and teams
  • Experience with databases, data warehouses, ETL processes and reporting 
  • Experience or familiarity with the following technologies:
    • AWS technologies
    • .NET framework
    • Java applications
    • SQL, SSIS, XML, XSD, SSRS
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, troubleshooting and analytical skills
