The HR Manager – Japan plays a vital role in the ongoing experience of our employees located in Jamf’s Tokyo office, as well as other locations in Asia/Pacific.  As a key part of our global HR team, the HR Manager – Japan coordinates and administers HR policies and programs on the local level. This individual will work hands-on with Japanese payroll and benefit matters, employment and legal compliance, and benefit matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as HR representative for Japan office, maintaining knowledge of local HR policies, working rules, programs, laws and issues applying this knowledge to ensure compliance and policies are within Japanese regulations and consistent with Jamf Culture
  • Works in conjunction with the global HR team to provide local and regional coordination of day-to-day HR support
  • Works with local leaders to scope and execute great people projects that grow engagement and accelerate performance, partnering with internal functional HR experts along the way
  • Conducts local orientation for all new employees including completion of proper paperwork necessary to enroll employee in benefits and payroll
  • Manages the local recruitment process, partnering with managers and Talent Acquisition team
  • Contributes new and creative ideas for attracting the best talent to Jamf
  • Serves as local contact person for all related external parties such as payroll provider, tax office, Health insurance, Pension provider
  • Coordinates and administers monthly Japan payroll working with third party payroll provider
  • Performs various administrative duties with respect to (social) insurance and legislative requirements
  • Administers local employee absence process and leaves
  • Maintains all employee personnel, immigration, benefit and other filing systems in compliance with governmental requirements
  • Assists in various HR projects as assigned
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and purpose of the organization

Skills & Requirements

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Preferred); a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
  • 2-4 Years human resources experience in Japan within a global organization (preferably within the hi-tech industry) (Required)
  • Familiarity with global and regional approaches to Human Resources, demonstrating an understanding of the coordination required between a US based corporate entity and a regional or remote entity

  • Ability to interact with internal and external clients/customers at a variety of levels and across functions

Travel: Less than 10%
Education: 4 year degree preferred
