Head of IT Services (India)

Manager

Advanced | Administration - IT | Bangalore, Karnataka

In this key role, your remit will be to provide operational leadership of our IT functions in India, with a particular focus on:

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ownership – You will oversee all IT Operations activities within India and act as a central point of management contact/escalation, ensuring performance to agreed Service Levels
  • Leadership – You will work with the relevant Technical leads based in the UK to provide local leadership to a growing team of 25+ multi-discipline technical resources (via Matrix Management)
  • People – You will lead local recruitment drives and co-ordinate shift rotas, absence management, personal development and training plans
  • Information Security – You will enforce company policies to protect the availability, privacy, and integrity of our data
  • Compliance – You will ensure delivery to relevant standards (e.g. ISO 27001, 9001)  
  • Supplier Management – You will facilitate regular supplier reviews to ensure performance and value for money. Bench-marking service provided against other similar suppliers
  • Budget Control – You will deliver to the IT budget, reviewing and achieving cost savings where possible
  • Licensing and asset controls – You will ensure processes are followed to control company assets
  • Business continuity – You will be responsible for coordinating IT Business continuity in the event of an accident, disaster, emergency, or threat

 

The Requirements

  • Previous experience of delivering large-scale IT Operations services in a complex business environment
  • Proven technical background, along with leadership and communication skills
  • Effective skills to communicate with the leadership community, third-party Suppliers and internal / external technical teams
  • Excellent motivator and able to meet deadlines and handle change
  • Significant experience in ITIL disciplines
