Job Purpose Summary

DealerSocket is looking for an engaged and experienced leader to spearhead creative and strategic thinking for consumer products. The Sr. Director of UI/UX will help set creative and technical design direction for DealerSocket’s product suite as well as DealerSocket’s marketing department. The Sr. Director is expected to lead and manage the product design team in an Agile / SCRUM environment using a Lean UX approach. The Sr. Director UI/UX will collaborate as needed with counterparts throughout the organization. The Sr. Director of UI/UX is also expected to adopt, establish and maintain best practices for product design that ensure consistency across platforms, while implementing solutions using current and emerging technologies.

Skills & Requirements

Education: Master’s Degree in UI/UX Design or Creative Design


  • 10+ Years Software Design Experience
  • 5+ Years managing a design team
  • UI/UX design and principles
  • Interaction, visual and technical design
  • Lean UX principles and concepts
  • Designing and Implementing enterprise level software applications
  • Portfolio of previous web related design work
  • Wire framing and Information architecture
  • Design and development of single page web applications
  • Agile/SCRUM

Skills & Expertise (Advanced Level)

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and can lead a team by example
  • Thorough understanding of typography and color theory
  • HTML5 layout and animation
  • CSS3 design
  • LESS and Media Queries
  • JavaScript (Angular and/or Knockout JavaScript libraries), jQuery, Bootstrap
  • AMD modules
  • Strong understanding of development processes, workflows, and tools.
