Finance Support Specialist (Contract)

The Granicus Finance team is a high performing group that enjoys partnering with teams to assist with the Company’s objectives. We are looking for motivated individuals to assist the team with various projects and primarily focus on accounts receivable tasks. In most cases, the individual will need to provide customer service support by assisting the customer with billing discrepancies. The ideal candidate would be resourceful, enjoys solving problems, is effective at managing relationships with customer and internal groups, and communicates well with others. On occasion the individual will be asked to assist with other finance related projects as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Focus on collecting customer outstanding balances by effectively following up within a short period of time to positively action the customer to pay owed amounts
  • Collections activity may also include assisting with the following tasks to obtain payment:
    • Updating data within the system to re-bill the customers
    • Processing customer payments via phone and/or email
    • Collect customer tax exception certificates
    • Complete vendor forms to collect customer payment
  • Creating accurate invoices and ensure contact information is accurate and complete
  • Help AP with ad hoc requests such as manual expense report entry

 

Skills & Requirements

Who You Are:

  • You have a High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
  • You communicate well with team members and customers
  • You’ve gained proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
  • You possess a high degree of accuracy and problem-solving skills
  • You have effective organizational and time management skills
  • You demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • You work independently or as a team member
