Business Intelligence Analyst

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY

The Business Analyst works within the Product Department and is responsible for compiling and exploring business unit, departmental, company and customer data, with the goal of providing thoughtful analysis and business insight to the organization in a timely and accurate manner. Other responsibilities include process improvement, pricing analysis, KPI development, project management and budgeting. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Identify and evaluate data, interpret trends in complex data sets and deliver results via reports and presentations
  • Compile business unit and departmental data to effectively conduct executive summary analysis for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the leadership team, including C-Suite
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to support leadership in decision making processes
  • Compile and analyze data for departmental financial plans, operating forecasts and budget recommendations
  • Drive success with ongoing process review of various projects including product councils, pricing councils, customer advisory boards, and product feature request review
  • Manage new product enhancement suggestions and business cases to assist product management in stack ranking product features based on ROI (Return on Investment) and customer retention
  • Develop business requirement documents and use cases to drive internal project approval by stakeholders
  • Participate in project meetings with included responsibilities of documenting issues, action items, user requirements and/or deliverables
  • Collaborate on pricing-related projects including pricing diagnostics and pricing segmentations
  • Monitor product cost inputs and develop sensitivity analysis thresholds to provide reporting on potential changes to product prices
  • Manage and refine the Product Management Lifecycle as process improvements are identified
  • Work with GoTo Market and Product Teams to develop KPI’s and goals for each new product and enhancement launch
  • Complete other related duties as assigned to support DealerSocket’s strategic initiatives
Skills & Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

              Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

     

    Experience:

 

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analyst role or comparable discipline
  • Experience with planning, forecasting and business analysis
  • Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to drive analysis-driven change
  • Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify and implement process enhancements
  • Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools such as Excel, Salesforce and PowerPoint

     

    Required Skills: 

  • Experience in strategy, data analysis and communication of analytical results to executive stakeholders
  • Demonstrated planning, analytical and organization skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Ability to deliver high quality outputs with a specific eye for detail
  • Ability to translate complex analytics into clear and concise actionable communications
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Exceptional verbal, written and time management skills
