Strategic Initiatives Specialist

Summary:

The Strategic Initiatives Specialist will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Strategic Programs to drive cross-functional programs affecting the core business. 

Duties:

  • Assist with implementing, coordinating, and improving software company best practices across all functional areas
  • Manage and complete the successful implementation of strategic initiatives that enable revenue growth and accelerate company profitability and efficiency
  • Lead cross-functional, high-impact projects as directed by the Sr. Manager of Strategic Programs
  • Determine, track, and report metrics that measure the progress of the business and key initiatives
  • Support preparations for Board meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Work with executives and division managers on cross-company projects
  • Buildout culture building programs across all the Centers of Excellence
Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree; MBA highly preferred
  • Must have 3-8 years’ corporate experience in an operations, consulting, or cross-functional role; software industry experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated competency with implementing business processes and activity-based metrics involving leading success indicators
  • Experience leading without authority
  • Familiarity with a corporate environment and matrixed organization
  • Solid project management skills, having managed and successfully delivered multiple, complex projects on-time and on-budget
  • Established business and financial acumen
  • Robust analytical and quantitative skills, as well as attention to detail
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project skills; Smartsheet experience preferred
  • Resilient in the face of competing demands and conflicts
  • Demonstrated success in a high pressure, dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient ability to drive change in a matrixed environment
  • Executive presence, relationship building, strong decision making skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Open to travel
