Marketing Data Analyst

What are the hottest fields to jump into today?  Data science?  Business intelligence?  Digital Marketing?  We need YOU to join us to delve into each of these areas and more.  Join our growing team at CentralSquare Technologies to enhance our Marketing Operations through a highly visible analyst role.  In this position, you will have the opportunity to perform broad-based market analysis with a primary focus on the public sector.  You will gather data, market aspects and trends and convert this information into stories using slide decks.  With this opportunity, you will have significant influence on how data is presented at the CentralSquare Technologies Executive level.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform market research
  • Examine market data related to campaigns, ROI, corporate M&As and public sector
  • Compile, interpret and convert data to stories told through executive level slide decks
  • Determine brand perceptions and reputations
  • Evaluate market penetration
  • Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships
  • Capture and share market data with the CentralSquare Executive Team in relevant and meaningful ways
  • Create questionnaires and surveys to gather insightful market data
  • Become familiar with advanced statistical analysis and research methodologies
  • Develop, run and analyze ad-hoc and standard market reports that provide insight to support business objectives and maintain competitive advantage. Reports may evaluate products, competitors, customers, markets, etc. 
  • Review data and calculations to ensure report accuracy and data integrity 
  • Work with others to collect data to identify trends and the relationships between market factors and results.
  • Collaborate with others to design reports for analysis and decision-making
  • Prepare reports with data, graphics and/or commentary as requested or on your own initiative
  • Audit data and monitor data sources to ensure system and data integrity 
  • Use software, such as Salesforce.com and Marketo, to house data and intelligence
Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, data science, marketing or related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with reporting and analysis work in Marketo and Salesforce.com
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities with excellent skills and/or aptitude in statistical analysis
  • Marketing experience a plus

Experience Target:

  • Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint and other MS Office tools
  • Past work at PWC or a similar consulting firm focused on transforming data to stories for slide presentations
  • Understanding of B2B marketing, marketing collateral development, campaign management and forecasting
  • Understanding of outsourcing services and solutions (traditional and digital), industry metrics, KPI's and terminologies
  • Data mining and data analysis

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics and tools is a plus
  • Strong written/oral and communications and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of the organization and functional disciplines
  • Logical approach to problems with ability to solve complex problems with minimal supervision
  • Quick learner with high attention to detail
  • Effective management of a project calendar
  • Execution of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record of time management and meeting or exceeding deadlines
