Interface Project Coordinator

The Interface Coordinator will be responsible for overall planning and coordination of project activities involving system interfaces. The Interface Coordinator will be responsible for the scheduling and coordination of Interface installation, configuration and testing with the assigned Systems Engineer, the Schedule Coordinator, the Client, third Party vendors, and any other resources assigned within the framework of the overall project which is managed by the Project Manager. For Interface Addition projects, the Interface Coordinator will act as the Project Manager. This role works with moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement. The work performed in this role will directly impact the productivity and effectiveness of the project team and customer satisfaction.
Plans, executes, controls, forecasts, tracks, manages and closes Interface projects, and Interface implementation within the context of larger projects, toward achievement of the progress and revenue targets. Identifies appropriate resources needed and develops the schedule to ensure timely completion of the Interface implementation.
Ensures a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the overall Project Plan, in order to align stakeholders and team members. Implements approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of risks on the project.
Works with the Project Manager at Project kick off to identify and track all Interface work on a given project.
Works with the Project Manager and the Client at project kick off to identify all relevant Client contacts, and all Third-party contacts, operational and technical.
Works with the Resource Manager to obtain an assigned resource for each Interface in each project and identify any Engineering or other internal resources who will be involved in an Interface implementation.
In the event of personnel changes on any side, works with the team and the Client to identify replacements and communicate these changes to the team.
Works with the Scheduling Coordinator to schedule the Systems Engineer and any other internal resource for the installation, configuration, testing and go live schedules for each interface.
Communicates the initial schedule to the team.
Schedules all meetings between the Systems Engineer, Client and Third party. Ensures action items, if needed, are documented.
Works with the Scheduling Coordinator, Systems Engineer, Client, Third Parties and Project Manager to coordinate, document and report on scheduling changes throughout the lifecycle of the Interface deployment.
Ensures sufficient time is allocated for Go Live activity, including post Go Live follow up, for Interfaces.
Ensures follow up on sign-off documentation on Interfaces by the Client, and communication of this to the team.
Consistently exercises effective communication and follow through and acts and the Client’s single point of contact for Interfaces during the project implementation.
Completes and submits status reports to management on a regular basis.
Provides forecasting information to the Project Manager on a regular basis, and with each change in schedule. • Consistently demonstrates accurate forecasts revenue for projects.
Ability to continually pass background check requirements for working on and connecting to public safety information systems.
Other responsibilities as required
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
1-3 years of Project Management experience or equivalent education
Knowledge of project management methodology and processes.
Experience with Public Safety Systems a plus
Experience with Interfaces, particularly Public Safety Interfaces a plus
Intermediate skills in MS products including Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and Powerpoint
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and to share knowledge with others
