Manager, DevOps

This position, under the general direction of the Director and Vice President, DevOps, will be responsible for delivering knowledge and experience of the DevOps domain, including production support and cloud service delivery as well as experience of CI/CD to direct a very dynamic engineering team. This position is responsible for exhibiting a solid understanding of cloud architecture and deployments, and experience in managing a distributed team of DevOps engineers.

• Manage and contribute in the DevOps team to maintain and build out our infrastructure and servers.
• Lead and manage, as well as participate in writing automation
• Oversee formal change processes for releases and changes to the production environments (Infrastructure
and Application), including running regular CAB meetings with senior management and post mortems on
failed changes
• Oversee root cause of trended and high impact incidents, create known error documentation for operations
team and build change requirements for permanent fixes
• Maintain a configuration database tracking version and inventory levels for hosting managed environments
• Lead the team on a roadmap to process new releases and create automation for lights out operations and
continuous integration
• Manage the request process and build out of Q/A and test environments for product engineering
• Define and manage engineers through growth paths to increase their skill and contribution.
• Manage performance metrics for the team’s operational responsibilities

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technology field
• Master’s degree in business or technology a plus
• 10+ years’ professional experience
• 7+ years’ experience as an IT Manager
• Strong leadership skills (The ability to use a variety of techniques to motivate based on the scenario)
• Knowledge of the infrastructure stack and common AWS/Azure service offerings
• History of managing infrastructure patch/firmware levels
• Knowledge of Agile and application release processes
• ITIL Foundation certification required with Practitioner/Expert certification desired
• Process design/continual service improvement methods
• Lean/Six Sigma analysis a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have strong organizational skills to handle a heavy workload and multiple projects with frequent
interruptions and schedule changes
