Associate, Cash Applications (Contractual)

A cash applications specialist records client payment in appropriate accounts, identifies and resolves payment discrepancies and answers client inquiries as needed. The specialist also resolves customer complaints, receipts issues, and refunds. Must communicate & follow up effectively on a timely basis and help resolve receipt related queries received from internal parties and clients through emails and phone calls.

The Accounts Receivable team comprises of 30 Finance Associates and Managers. It is a close-knit group of dynamic and high-energy professionals. Cvent hires bright people who are willing to learn and are extremely motivated to succeed. Most of our team has received their bachelor’s degrees in the last 5 years. And some have completed their Masters. We have people from various educational backgrounds including, but not limited to B.com (H), Economics (H) and MBAs.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Enter and record daily cash receipts and adjustments
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts posted to system generated batch totals
  • Allocation research and application of payments posted to unidentified and customer accounts
  • Coordinate with banks on missing receipts and details
  • Maintain a 98% accuracy score
  • Routinely maintain or exceed the minimum daily production standards
  • Analyze and reconcile out-of-balance batches/receipts
  • Post denial payments received on Explanation of Benefits
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Strategize activties to maximize efficiency and proper time management while recording cashy receipt
  • Aid in decision making
  • Participate in team planning meetings
  • Actively interact with US team and help in customer-related decision making and reconciliation
  • Meet defined departmetn goals and activity metrics
  • Answer the internal and external email queries received in the inbox
  • Taking care of calls along with the rest of the cash application team
  • Track assigned project performance and weekly/monthly reporting to the direct supervisor

What You Will Need in this Position 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, goal oriented and should possess problem solving capabilities
  • Experience on Salesforce is added advantage
  • Commitment to excellent customer service and support
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
