Senior Salesforce Administrator

Summary of position: 

The Senior Salesforce Administrator will lead system integrations, ongoing implementation of our salesforce.com deployment, drive CPQ processes, and work as part of the sales operations team dedicated to maximizing efficiency, driving utilization, and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the system based on various user group needs. The position requires consultation skills and the ability to interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand the needs of the business and team, and enhance the system accordingly. As a critical part of the role, the Administrator will facilitate configuring price quotes (CPQ) processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
  • Stay up-to-date on pricing changes, alterations, and methods within the organization and our competitors
  • Provide/develop CPQ processes and consultations to internal stakeholders
  • Complete custom objects when necessary
  • Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
  • Work with our management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams
  • Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements
Skills & Requirements

Skills Required: 

  • Background in driving integration of platforms/systems (ex: Microsoft Dynamics to Salesforce.com) required
  • Ability to map processes
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to research and stay relevant in terms of market pricing for our products and similar competitive products
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes
  • Facilitate and drive CPQ processes

 

Experience Required: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in CPQ for b2b software organizations
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a certified Salesforce.com administrator
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
  • Strong data management abilities
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment is a plus, but not required
