GIS Team Manager


EagleView | Operations | Rochester, NY

The GIS Team Manager is a key member of the Imagery Acquisition Leadership Team and will report directly to the Director of Imagery Acquisition.    Primary responsibilities would include managing the Creation Team, driving efficient flight planning practices and developing and maintaining key Department metrics. 
The Manager is expected to provide expertise and leadership in all creation processes, as well as workload tracking, and the training/development of staff.    Experience collaborating with all levels of management and a proven background of process improvement are attributes key to success for this role.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manage, develop, and assign tasks to the Creation Team
  • Oversee all Flight Planning actives for Revenue and Non-Revenue flights
  • Assist with the planning and execution of EagleView’s Non-Revenue Capture Plan
  • Support and assist with the development and implementation of all company initiatives
  • Handle all HR related tasks for the Creation Team, including, but not limited to hiring and performance reviews.
  • Work closely with the Senior Flight Operations Manager to drive efficient flight capture
  • Maintain a strong relationship with Product Strategy to ensure alignment on company priorities 
  • Develop, implement and promote best practices 
  • Create and maintain key flight planning metrics and drive marked improvements
  • Drive continuous process improvement and development of tools
  • Implement consistent QC practices on all processes
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration between departments
  • Provide backup support to the Creation Team in times of excess demand
Skills & Requirements

  • Established leadership qualities
  • Previous management experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly
  • Well-organized, dependable, self-sufficient
  • Proficient in the EagleView Suite and Microsoft Suite
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • BA/BS in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Imagining Science or related fields strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
