The Program Manager serves to standardize, organize, coordinate and continuously improve the execution of programs. He/she will provide guidance across Release Trains to Development Teams, supporting departments and Project Managers which promote the company’s culture. As a member of the PMO team, a Program Manager will closely coordinate with Product Managers, UX Designers and Testers and Scrum Masters with the goal of ensuring all programs deliver a desirable outcome to our organization.

• Ensure that the right product is delivered to meet/exceed quality standards and is delivered on time, on budget and to spec

• Decide on suitable approaches, standards and objectives that align to Agile team objectives

• Organize and monitor inter-connected projects and coordinate cross-project activities

• Facilitate program-related discussion, decision making and conflict resolution within the organization

• Remove impediments to the program or guide individuals by engaging the right personnel

• Provide internal and external communication, improve transparency and radiate information

• Communicate program and initiative needs, priorities and status to the Senior Program Manager and leaders/members of other departments through transparent reporting

• Track programs against deadlines, budget and objectives, reporting on status to management regularly

• Help to develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated outcomes

• Apply change, risk and resource management principles

• Assume responsibility for the program’s people, tools and vendors

• Track program performance and maximize ROI by continually improving efficiency and value

• Resolve project scoping issues

• Participate in PMO peer reviews

• Be a subject matter expert in SAFe Program Management 

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• SAFe project or program management experience is desired, but not required

• Understanding of software development life cycle models

• Work using efficient strategies and standardizations that align to the increasing agility of the company

• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, from individual contributor to Executive leadership

• Strong listening skills • Ability to learn all required software systems

• Ability to operate within a structured environment, but willing to foresee/solve problems when they arise

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Enjoy and encourage human interaction

• JIRA and Confluence experience is preferred, but not required
