Project Manager (Entry Level)

The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating collaboration and problem solving across a variety of teams and leaders to provide exceptional business value to our customers. The Project Manger will primarily guide the Agile transformation of the Compliance Technology department, leading several concurrent high visibility projects using Agile methodologies and traditional project management methods throughout the transformation.

• Engage in appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability

• Remove impediments to productivity or guide individuals to remove impediments by engaging the right personnel to unblock the team member

• Serve Product Owner and Development Team in quest to do everything possible to ensure customer satisfaction

• Support and educate the Product Owner and Product Team

• Guide teams and leaders in Scaled Agile best practices, values, and self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks

• Lead teams through goal setting and action plans during Retrospectives to adopt team-owned actions; provide support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example

• Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution at all levels of the organization

• Work in close collaboration with Project Management team to ensure organization continues to iterate toward increased agility

• Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information

• Track and report on project milestones and provide sprint metric reports

• Be a thought leader and subject matter expert in SAFe and all adopted Agile frameworks 

Skills & Requirements

To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Qualifications include:

• 3+ years’ experience leading teams/organizations in adoption of Agile frameworks, principles and practices

• Traditional Project Management experience and ability to blend Agile and traditional approaches together while teams iterate toward agility

• Past management or strong servant leadership experience is required

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent ability to listen - seek to understand before being understood

• Be receptive to learning all required software skills

• Experience with JIRA is preferred, but not required

• Ability to operate within a structured environment, but willing to foresee and/or solve problems as they arise

• Strong team-first mentality
