Management Accountant

We are looking for driven individuals who want to accelerate their career in finance. You will get an opportunity to work collaboratively undertaking tasks required to deliver an effective and efficient service to customers and key stakeholders across the business.

You will be based in the Mailbox – our stunning Regional HQ in Birmingham City Centre, which provides the best opportunity for a vibrant social life with colleagues and outside of work.

Role Responsibilities

  • Production of accurate and timely management accounts
  • Accurate journal preparation and posting to the general ledger including the reconciliation of P&L and balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure adequate governance and controls that will satisfy an internal and external audit
  • Point of contact for auditors
  • Liaise and coach other members of the finance team
  • VAT return
  • Any other adhoc tasks

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months experience in management accounts
  • Previous experience of revenue recognition and statutory accounting
  •  Ability to interpret and analyse data
  • Ability to resolve exceptions and provide efficient solutions
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong excel skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Previous Tax experience is desirable
