Systems and Operations Coordinator (SalesForce)

The Salesforce Coordinator will support the ongoing maintenance of PowerSchool’s Salesforce and Force.com applications to ensure the continued delivery of innovative, high quality solutions that enable PowerSchool to accomplish its business objectives across departments, including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product Management and Finance. This role will work cross-functionally with PowerSchool departments to maximize the value Salesforce.com provides to PowerSchool. This includes managing the day-to-day incoming requests from business users, understanding requirements and determining complexity, defining solution functionality, designing solutions, developing and maintaining solutions over time. The Salesforce Coordinator will be hands-on and be involved in the support of managing Salesforce.com in a diverse working environment.  This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of business application investments.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor incoming tickets and manage the allocation of those tickets to appropriate team resources
  • Support the integration of Salesforce with other platforms utilizing Tibco and other software
  • Act as the first level of support for issue identification and resolution for the Salesforce and Integration platforms while identifying underlying root cause of issues and ensure clear communication and management of resolution
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating Salesforce across the organization
  • Work collaboratively across teams and/or independently to design and build solutions on the Salesforce platform using progressively complex capabilities including:
  • Administration of new enhancements like creation of custom objects, workflows, validation rules, approval processes, flows, flow triggers and email alerts
  • Develop reports, custom report types, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
  • Manage security, users, roles, profiles, groups, queues and other Salesforce.com setup options as necessary
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on items related to Salesforce.com, third party integrations, and AppExchange
  • Provide support on solution requirements and recommendations
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
  • Possess a strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and work on projects in parallel

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field preferred
  • Builds strong relationships and works well across business and technical functions
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills while maintaining objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under stressful conditions
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and explain complex concepts across functions and levels of the organization
  • Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues using judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law

  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or other business applications including using business intelligence reporting tools
  • Familiarity with integrated application platforms and the impact of data quality on the successful transformation of information between systems.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification and/or Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or a related discipline.
