Location: The unit is located in St. Marks Industrial Estate, Silvertown, London E16 2BS. Parking is available on site.


We are currently approximately 5-minutes walk from Pontoon Dock on the Docklands Light Railway.


Hours: the position requires the suitable candidate to work 2 shifts. One week 8am – 4pm, one week 10am – 6pm. In addition, there will during busy production times be a requirement for additional last minute overtime either after the normal shift hours or at weekends. There are rare occasions when this overtime can be late into the evening and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in this overtime as part of their contract of employment.


Brief overview: The role will require the operation of all types of high volume photocopiers, scanners, digital printers and large format machines. It will also involve the use of all types of binding equipment, shrink wrapping and finishing machines. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to develop or display a good understanding of most Microsoft products and Adobe Acrobat. As a result some experience in using high volume photocopiers or digital printers and a good knowledge of working with PDF files is essential. Document Production are specialists in the production of Legal Documents for Court appeals and in addition prepare all types of printed materials such as leaflets, manuals and large format posters. The candidate will be expected to show that they approach every task with enthusiasm and attention to detail and that each area is learnt to a satisfactory standard within the 6-month probationary period.


Environment: The unit is a stand alone department that is part of the Advanced Group, The unit is completely non smoking. We have our own small kitchen for staff to make their own tea and coffee and microwave ovens for lunch.


Due to the nature of our customers, we operate from security protected premises with door entry systems and CCTV in operation. Successful candidates may be asked to submit to a CRB check and may be required to have further security clearances to work on other specific projects.


We are a busy unit and the successful candidate will be able to work under pressure to ensure that customer’s deadlines are met.


The successful candidate will be subject to a 6-month trial period during which their ability to learn the necessary duties will be monitored.


Any potential candidates must bring with them proof of identity and proof of eligibility to work within the UK. Any work visas must be valid for at least 3-years from the date of interview.
