MINDBODY is looking for a Video Editor to join our talented Marketing department on the Video & Motion Graphics (VMG) team. The position supports our mobile business products, marketing efforts and product development teams in beautiful San Luis Obispo, CA (the happiest city in America).

As a Video Production Specialist / Video Editor, you will be a passionate, enthusiastic person who loves tinkering in Adobe CC, coming up with new ideas and growing creatively. You’ll demonstrate your attention to detail and problem-solving skills by creating and delivering edited video assets—paying careful attention to stay on brand and up-to-date with current trends.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • BA/BS degree with an emphasis in Art, Design, Video or 2-3 years in a video-related position
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC, with expertise in Premiere
  • Experience with commercial video creation for paid and organic platforms
  • An online portfolio of work demonstrating a creative sensibility that relates to our brand
  • Experience filming using professional video equipment; knowledge of different cameras, basic lighting and audio recording
  • Understanding of design principles, including layout, color theory, typography, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • A desire to continuously learn and grow


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide video editing support for all types of projects, including paid media, organic social, internal and external-facing efforts
  • Maintain, manage and organize video and photo asset library
  • Assist with upkeep of video & photo equipment
  • Film interviews and b-roll; assist in video production as needed
  • Monitor and evaluate all incoming requests; proactively manage workload and deadlines
  • Work closely with motion graphic designers, copywriters and other members of the team to collaborate on projects and produce work that elevates the MINDBODY brand
  • Ensure accuracy of deliverables and take ownership of assigned projects
  • Set challenging goals and demonstrate a commitment to evolving creatively
  • Continuously develop new skills and practices to solve difficult problems; research solutions when necessary
  • Clearly and accurately express ideas; work collaboratively with team members
  • Build trust with stakeholders and manage feedback in a professional, positive manner; revise and rework assets as needed all the way through final delivery
