Strategic Sales Specialist



This team is responsible for managing the relationship with our strategic accounts, and identifying and landing new strategic account opportunities. 

Our Strategic Sales Specialists are key players in helping people lead healthier, happier lives by connecting the world to wellness. They are directly involved and responsible for working with some of our largest and most complex customers. A successful Strategic Sales Specialist can find potential clients, build a strategic funnel and sales plan, and close the most complex clients MINDBODY works with. Their needs vary based on size, industry and business model. Being able to solve problems independently and with the aid of internal departments and partners is key to this role.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Passion and knowledge for the assigned vertical (Fitness, Integrated Health, Beauty and Wellness)
  • 5+ years of B2B enterprise sales, specifically working with large complex corporations
  • The ability to develop positive professional relationships with business executives, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, small business owners, and other professionals
  • Strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and high level of initiative, creativity and flexibility
  • Experience leveraging Customer Relationship Management tools, with Salesforce preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain sales funnel including efficient forecasting
  • A proven track record of success and exceeding goals
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills


  • Develops account strategies and competitive takeaway strategies and aligns resources, including support, service, and management resources, to land new client relationships
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, legal, merchant account processing, and management resources, to meet performance objectives and prospective customer expectations
  • Consistently increases portfolio bringing on top revenue producing customers
  • Provides feedback on solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
  • Meets or exceeds assigned targets for quarterly and yearly goals
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Work with the Strategic Account Manager to identify and target high quality and multi-location opportunities.
  • Builds sales funnel and relationships to their fullest
  • Professionally and effectively contact decision makers and be able to give an amazing live demonstration
  • Develop personalized proposals that are cleanly executed
  • Effectively negotiate legal markups and pricing options with key decision makers
  • Work with API teams and Partners to find seamless solutions using the entire MINDBODY Ecosystem
  • All other duties as assigned
