Job Summary

Vista Equity Partners is seeking a highly motivated and analytically driven Associate Director to join the Analytics team within the Value Creation function. This role will design and deliver innovative analytics solutions, enabling data-driven decisions across the firm and its portfolio companies. Acting as a strategic thought partner, the Associate Director will collaborate with investment professionals, executives, and internal stakeholders to unlock growth opportunities and improve operational performance through data.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable analytics solutions, including data models, automated workflows, and reporting tools, to support data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into impactful, actionable analytics insights.
  • Champion the adoption of generative AI and advanced analytics to drive innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic analytics guidance to Vista and portfolio company teams, ensuring alignment with key business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional analytics initiatives, managing timelines and deliverables to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of team best practices, standardization of tools, and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate complex data insights clearly and persuasively to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Promote a data-driven culture by mentoring junior team members and advocating for analytics as a value creation lever.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, or enterprise software—preferably in analytics, FP&A, or data strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field from a top academic institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn complex datasets into strategic insights that influence executive decisions.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and business case development.
  • - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, and planning tools like Anaplan or Adaptive Insights is preferred.
