Job Summary

The Senior System Administrator - NetSuite will support the ongoing maintenance and customization of PowerSchool’s instance of NetSuite to ensure the continued delivery of innovative, high quality solutions that enable PowerSchool to accomplish its company and financial business objectives. This role will work cross-functionally with a variety of PowerSchool departments to maximize the value NetSuite provides to PowerSchool. This includes managing the day-to-day incoming requests from business users, understanding requirements and determining complexity, defining solution functionality, designing solutions, developing and maintaining solutions over time. The Senior System Administrator - NetSuite will be hands-on and be involved in the support of managing NetSuite in a diverse working environment.  This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

  • Customization of PowerSchools NetSuite instance using SuiteScript in support of key business initiatives inclusive of maintaining and creating new scripts
  • Support integration of NetSuite with other platforms, including Salesforce.com
  • Analyze business needs and facilitate design, review & training sessions with technical and business stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating NetSuite across the organization
  • Manage system enhancement projects in accordance with established SDLC and agile methodologies
  • Create systems documentations including, business requirements documents, functional designs, user manuals, test scripts, test plans and training materials
  • Work collaboratively across teams and/or independently to design and build solutions on the NetSuite, SuiteScript, and SuiteBuilder platform using progressively complex capabilities
  • Administration of new enhancements: creation of custom functions, processes, forms, reports, workflows
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
  • Manage security, users, roles, profiles, groups, queues and other NetSuite setup options as necessary
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on items related to NetSuite and SuiteApps
  • Provide support on solution requirements and recommendations
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
  • Identify opportunities for automation to increase quality and speed of processes.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and work on projects in parallel

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience as a NetSuite Developer or NetSuite Administrator required
  • NetSuite SuiteFoundataion, Administrator and SuiteCloud Developer Certifications desired
  • Track record of multiple successful NetSuite and similar ERP full-lifecycle implementation
  • Hands on knowledge and proven competency coding in SuiteScript
  • Deep knowledge of NetSuite functionality, and the coding that brings about this functionality
  • Highly skilled at coding in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SuiteScript
  • Experience working with SuiteCommerce Advanced source code
  • Hands on knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Has a professional image and builds strong relationships across functions
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills while maintaining objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under stressful conditions
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and explain complex concepts across functions and levels of the organization
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues using judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
