Job Summary

At iCIMS, we're redefining how people connect with opportunity through intelligent, human-centred technology. We're seeking a Senior Principal Data Scientist to shape the future of our Talent Cloud platform, architecting and delivering advanced AI/ML solutions that power our GenAI, LLM, agentic frameworks, and NLP-driven features at scale. 

 

You'll serve as a technical authority, helping to drive AI strategy and implementation across the organisation. You'll mentor data scientists and engineers, partner with cross-functional leaders, and influence the direction of our AI-powered products in a culture that values innovation, ownership, and continuous learning. 

 

This is a hybrid position based in Dublin city centre, our strategic hub for AI development in Ireland. 

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, build, and oversee the deployment of large-scale AI/ML systems, including natural language processing, deep learning, and generative AI solutions 
  • Drive AI strategy and roadmap in collaboration with engineering, product, and business leaders 
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that deliver transformative AI capabilities and measurable business impact 
  • Establish best practices for reproducible, ethical, and production-ready AI, ensuring robust model governance, transparency, and fairness 
  • Develop frameworks for automated data extraction, cleaning, transformation, and model evaluation at scale 
  • Mentor and coach data scientists and engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning 
  • Drive research and innovation, staying current with AI/ML advancements and influencing technology adoption 
  • Present strategy, plans, and findings to executive leadership and customer stakeholders 
  • Represent iCIMS AI in external forums through publications, talks, and partnerships 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) 
  • Extensive hands-on experience with advanced machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing techniques 
  • Demonstrated success leading end-to-end AI projects from conception to production deployment in complex environments 
  • Expertise in software engineering, scalable data architectures, and MLOps practices 
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and influencing technical teams 
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and engage effectively with executive stakeholders 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity
