Associate Curriculum Internship (Summer)

PowerSchool's Customer Education division develops and delivers training to K-12 education customers on-site, at conferences, and online. They strive to enhance customer success with PowerSchool products by delivering engaging, job-centered, practical, and user-friendly training tutorials and materials. The team writes technical and narrative content for conferences, eLearning environments, trainer presentations, and videos.  Topics include subjects ranging from technical software processes to K-12 professional development concepts.  

The Associate Curriculum Specialist is a professional-class writer who works under moderate supervision to develop, update, and deliver exceptional course materials for PowerSchool clients. This position works closely with colleagues on the Delivery, Curriculum, Multimedia, and Training teams at PowerSchool.   


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Produce interactive e-learning and instructor led training materials

• Update existing online courses and tutorials, as needed

• Participate in team meetings and group project reviews

• Identify and share best practices

•Set up course templates based on writers’ materials

• Create course assessments using various software

• Use HTML, Captivate, Photoshop, Flash and SnagIt to produce interactive activities

• Submit graphic requests to artists and incorporate graphic flies into course

• Record and/or import audio into course files

• Submit course products for reviews at key stages of development cycle and respond to feedback in a timely fashion

• Use proprietary systems to share and store files; track progress on assigned tasks • All other responsibilities assigned by management
