Fusion Risk Management’s Next Chapter of Growth Begins With Investment From Great Hill Partners

Today we are pleased to announce the partial sale of our stake in Fusion Risk Management and welcome Great Hill Partners as the new majority shareholder of the business.

Vista first invested in Fusion in September 2019 through our Endeavor Fund. We had established a strong relationship with Fusion’s Founder and then CEO, David Nolan, who chose to partner with Vista for our demonstrated ability to enable long-term sustainable growth through our value creation best practices and team.

Looking to transition out of the CEO role, our initial objective was working with David to find the right successor to lead the company through its next phase of growth, resulting in the appointment of seasoned software executive Michael Campbell as CEO.

Vista’s Value Creation team next partnered with Mike and Fusion to expand its product suite, evolving from being primarily a Business Continuity product to a leading Operational Resilience platform. This enabled Fusion to move up-market and capitalize on larger revenue opportunities. Leveraging Vista’s best practices, Fusion transformed its GTM strategy to increase pipeline and win rates across priority verticals. Fusion also took advantage of our OneVista sales enablement program to win important new customers in financial services and to expand its partner program. As a result of these initiatives, Fusion’s ARR grew organically ~ 270%, average customer size increased 70%, and gross customer retention currently stands at over 95%.

In Spring 2020, Vista and Fusion created the Fusion Pandemic Toolkit, which served as an online community hub for businesses and provided users with resources that accurately tracked the spread of the virus and provided templates for communication plans.

This partial exit – along with other Endeavor realizations in SecureLink and Zapproved – is a testament to the power of our ecosystem of knowledge, resources and relationships, and our ability to leverage that ecosystem to create value for our companies and Limited Partners.
