Engineer SW QA Associate - ES (BKF)

The Software Automation Engineer is a critical member of the agile development team and primarily provides test automation development support within an integrated DevOps CI infrastructure. We require the automation engineer to implement or develop test automation frameworks, test validation scripts, test data strategies, and develop integration scripting for automated validation. His/Her work is critical to drive the testing efficiencies necessary for successful Agile product development and attainment of client growth and expansion objectives.

  • 3+ years of Java & Java Script programming
  • Good understanding of web technologies like HTML5, AJAX, XML, REST
  • Be able to automate test cases in Selenium Webdriver along with automation frameworks(Protractor/Jasmine/Junit/TestNG)
  • Strong hands-on experience using ITKO LISA, CA LISA, or CA DevTest
  • Minimum of 3 years designing, developing, deploying, and supporting CA Service Virtualization, SOA, Web Services automation, XML technologies
  • In depth knowledge of SOA frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches
  • Demonstrated experience in XML, XSD, XPath, MQ, Topics, HTTP, HTTPS, JSON
  • 3+ years of using T-SQL or PL/SQL for database validation
  • Help Automation team with defining automation best practices and ensure that automation follows a consistent, maintainable, and extendable architecture.
  • Interface with developers and system architects to ensure applications are designed to be testable while ensuring tags, object ID’s, component and page name standards are in place.
  • Run automation suites and evaluate results as builds are deployed to the test environment via CI tool like Jenkins
  • Take ownership of QA initiatives and work closely with members of the leadership team to ensure completion of milestones.
  • Other Tools/Technology Preferences: Cucumber or Ruby , GitHub, Jenkins, JMeter,  AWS Web Services
Skills & Requirements

  • Experience testing mobile or web platforms
  • Exposure to software development methodologies
  • Exposure to subsystem hardware integration related to I/O level testing
  • Well versed in the scientific method (designing, executing, and analyzing tests/experiments)

Required general skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills as this position will require heavy interaction with a number of different groups
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders on a project to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work independently on assignments; self-starter
