Vice President, Software Development / Engineering

The Vice President of Development will lead the engineering, service enablement and technical operations. This Vice President of Development will ensure a superior and expanding service experience to ensure high overall customer satisfaction. In addition, this executive will ensure that our products can scale to meet rapid customer adoption and growth. At its core, this role will partner with the management team to drive strategic, architectural and tactical decision-making across the core engine technology and on-demand infrastructure necessary to support the vision.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Improve Agile software development methodology execution that will drive rapid SaaS development iterations designed to improve speed-to-market and visibility
  • Lead integration with other functional departments including service delivery to drive quality of service objectives 
  • Partner with executive team to create technology solutions unlocking opportunity for increasing gross margin, speed to revenue and new revenue streams including mobile apps and data management
  • Execute on continuous improvement of the existing software applications and architecture.  Ensure quality deliverables without fail. 
  • Ensure that the necessary people, processes and systems are in place to accommodate growth, measure results, and minimize risk
  • Develop roadmap planning, coordinate release and sprint planning, and ensure adherence to Agile SDLC and development process
  • Provide motivation to the team to sustain high levels of productivity and moral
  • Act as a highly visible missionary and evangelist for the business and the technology organization

Requirements

  •  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  •  Minimum of 5 years of management with leadership experience in a software development organization.
  •  Must have at least 7 years of experience in design, development, release cycle, and delivering software products to market
  •  Strong understanding of the Agile software development cycle and development methodology
  • Demonstrated success leading complex software development organizations with highly complex and scalable products. Specific experience with SaaS model businesses
  • Experience working at the executive level in the planning of development strategies, provide technical assessment of partner requirements, and represent the Company at the highest customer and partner levels
  • Ability to successfully work cross-functionally with management teams to evaluate customer requirements and next generation products in order to develop and deliver new products on time and within budget to the market
Skills & Requirements
