Regional Vice President, Sales (West)

Territory states include: CA, AK, WA, OR, NV, AZ, ID, MT, WY, UT, CO, NM, HI

*Must live in territory

 

The Regional Vice President, Sales is a leadership role responsible for leading a field-based sales team to achieve team sales goals. This role operates at a key functional intersection including both tactical execution of selling activities as well as being a leadership presence with customers, and working with executive leaders in the company. The primary objective of this position being to achieve the team sales goals.

• Lead, manage, mentor team of Field Sales Representatives

• Attend Weekly Sales Meetings to address team needs; expect full attendance from team

• Follow-up with team directly on initiatives/communications sent to All Sales as it applies to team

• Hold weekly 1:1’s with each Field Sales Representative, which includes reviewing progress towards quota, pipeline growth, forecast & forecasting accuracy, deal status, quarterly performance, GAP plans, and any performance-management tools (coaching plans or performance improvement plans)

• Run QBRs and ensure team is prepared for QBRs; completes an annual Territory Plan

• Identify areas for improvement and coach Field Sales Representatives in those areas • Identify opportunities for Executive Team involvement

• Understand deals for territory, coach the Field Sales Representatives on successful deal strategy, and drive Field Sales Representatives to successful discovery, objection-handling, deal timeline management, etc.

• Mentor the Field Sales Representative on how to identify best opportunities to be competitive in the territory – competitive pricing, strategic products, partnerships, references, lobbyists, etc.

• Will travel with Field Sales Representatives regularly, and personally visit and be involved with key customers and key deals and step in to personally lead key/large opportunities when necessary

• Interview and hire top-performing Field Sales Representatives

• Regularly identify areas of needed training/improvement and engage sales enablement, etc.

• Other duties as assigned

To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Qualifications include:

• 5+ years of successful Partnership management experience.

• Must have prior experience managing a high-performing team, driving team performance and helping others realize their potential.

• Experience with sales and management of third-party application add-on products is strongly preferred.

• Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) required.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess a situation and react with proposed solutions based on analysis of all factors.

• Ability to initiate ideas and develop recommendations at a C-suite level.

• Strong project management skills are a must

• K-12 domain experience preferred
