Accounting Specialist - Collections

 

Summary:

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the resolution of outstanding invoices and the management of delinquent accounts. The Collections team works directly with clients to negotiate remittance consistent with company practices. The position demands developing and maintaining excellent cross departmental working relationships. In doing so, the candidate serves as the escalation point for customer payment disputes and makes recommendations for account adjustments. It is expected the applicant will be able to work independently and effectively as part of a team to meet monthly collection targets.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Two years or more experience in Accounting and/or the Customer Service industry
  • Demonstrated excellence handling client issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Outstanding communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Being a self-starter, meticulous and adaptable in a high-pressure environment while handling multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Familiarity with accounting controls & procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
