Accounting Assistant

Summary of Role:

The Successful candidate will join the Finance Department and will report to the Billings Manager and be responsible for assisting with project related reconciliation and customer billings activities. The Accounts Assistant will also have a number of responsibilities around the accounting for the finances of the Allocate Services Division.


 Ensuring that all Project related billings are raised to the customers accurately and in a timely manner
 The set-up of and maintain of all Services and R&D projects in the company’s accounting system
 Maintenance of the projects within the accounting system, including but not limited to project closures, project access requests and changes to the project budgets
 Invoicing of all service related projects in an accurate and timely manner
 Set up new employees and contractors in the accounting system and ongoing maintenance of employee set up
 Responsibility for ensuring the completeness of weekly timesheets submissions from the Services and R&D departments and also external contractors
 During the month end close significant responsibility for general ledger reconciliations
 Support for project related queries regarding Timesheets, expenses and sales order processing invoicing as required

Qualifications and Experience


- 1-2 years of experience in a Finance/accounts assistant role

- Ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment

- Attention to detail is essential

- Microsoft office with a good working knowledge of Excel

- Ability to work with a strong team environment as well as independently

- Exposure to the accounting systems of large companies preferred

- Experience of software or high-tech companies an advantage
