We are looking for a pre-sales engineer/ solutions consultant who wants to leverage their expertise in digital quality to help customers bring higher quality digital innovations to market.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing presales technical/ functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction, through online/in-person sales efforts. Acting as a digital QA solution expert for enterprise sales you will; develop and deliver high-quality Applause presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate benefits of Applause “in the wild” digital QA solutions. Develop thought leadership perspectives on Digital / IoT QA to help our customers adopt best practices. Develop and deliver proposed solution presentation to customers, estimate pricing and create statements of work.
- Provide pre-sales technical/functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through online sales efforts
- Operate as a digital quality spokesperson, promote the sales effort by helping customers optimize QA in the software development life cycle
- Act as the Digital Quality technical lead, controlling the voice and message of interactions with customer technical teams.
- Contribute with original, creative thinking related to solving customer issues, creating relevant features, and advancing Applause Digital QA strategy.
- Lead detailed discovery and scoping calls
- Work closely with sales to review requirements and develop value-focused proposals
- Describe the benefits and value of integrating Applause’s professional QA community integrates into a customer’s SDLC
- Work with sales to create and submit proposals and SOW’s
- Work with the project delivery team to effectively communicate sold solutions
- Experience working and communicating directly with Managers, Directors, VP and C-Level personnel
- Ability to quickly review customer’s products to build knowledge and determine quality needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Professional services/deliver experience required (ideally with you taking part in selling engagements)
- Experience with one of the following areas a plus; functional QA, payments, UX, automation, or security a plus
- Experience with value selling or challenger selling a plus
- Self-motivated and can-do attitude
- B.S. in Computer Science / Information or equivalent experience
- Master’s in business administration or computer science a plus
