TIBCO is seeking an experienced and hands­ on Business Development leader to further accelerate TIBCO Software’s global Inbound and Outbound Sales Development teams. This experienced executive will play a critical role in driving new business pipeline for our global sales organization through developing, and managing our Business Development staff along with close coordination with our global sales and Marketing and Sales Executive Staff. 

Based in Boston, the Senior Director of Global Sales Development will report directly to TIBCO Global Vice President of Cloud Sales and Business Development.  The primary objective of this position is the generating new sales opportunities, leads, and meetings for all of TIBCO’s global sales teams. The Senior Director of Global Sales Development has day to day managerial and operational responsibilities, as well as providing the tools and environment to build the professional competency of the Inbound/Outbound team which is spread across Ireland, the US, and Singapore.

Skills & Requirements

 

  • Managing and growing an existing and very talented Global Business Development teams to hit monthly quotas of Opportunities, Leads, and meetings passed to TIBCO’s global sales teams.
  • Engage with TIBCO Marketing and Sales to understand, coordinate, and develop new programs and campaigns in to support specific global and regional pipeline needs of the business. 
  • Develop, coach and mentor BDEs and provide strategic oversight of team in terms of overall vision, mentorship, staffing, management and reporting.
  • Define, manage, and deliver on Business Development KPIs to support the sales pipeline. 
  • Ensure timely follow up by BDEs of all inbound Leads and compliance with SLAs 
  • Play key role in the recruiting and selection process for new BDE talent to build a high performing team. 
  • Provide oversight in the development of a training program with Sales Enablement team to onboard new BDEs 
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of the complete capabilities of TIBCOs product Suite 
  • Set expectations with senior sales management through timely and accurate reporting, pipeline and sales activity/program metrics reporting 
  • Motivate individuals to succeed through impassioned leadership, coaching, creative incentives, and sharing of results
