As a Software Quality Engineer on the SaaS Engineering team, you will be working on maintaining quality across the PingOne portfolio of cloud identity services.
 
Our Dev/Ops style team has quality engineers working closely with developers, operations, support and product management. The candidate will play an important role on the team in driving the product forward with high quality.
 
Ideal candidate is a motivated individual contributor, excellent communicator and strong out of the box thinker. The position requires an understanding of quality methodology with experience doing test planning and execution of manual testing.
 
This role is very much a solid individual contributor on an agile team with responsibilities such as:
 
  • Design, build and maintain test environments
  • Work closely with Product Managers and developers to define user stories
  • Define testing strategy to ensure delivery of fully qualified features and functionality
  • Perform functional, UI, device, security, etc... testing
  • Contribute to the expansion and maintenance of test automation systems
  • Participate in production rollouts of new versions of the various components.
  • Work closely across engineering teams coordinating quality efforts across all the integration points.
 
Skills & Requirements

Required Qualifications:
● Strong understanding of quality methodology and practices including test design, test
strategies, test documentation, bug reporting etc...
● Experience programming in Java, and being able to debug into source code and find issues
● Self-motivated with an excellent and relentless investigative, problem-solving drive
● Strong ability to work in and understand complex setups including troubleshooting issues
● Ability to work in a fast paced / rapid turn around agile development environment
● Ability to work as part of a remote team with members located in various office locations
around the world
 
Desirable qualifications
● Previous experience testing a SaaS or web service software
● Understanding of internet protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, HTML, REST, JSON, XPath
● Understanding of relational DB such as SQL
● Experience with, and comfortable working in UNIX environments
● Experience using source code management tools such as Git
● Bonus: Familiarity with Windows Server, ActiveDirectory, Microsoft IIS
● Bonus: Understanding of authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID
● Bonus: Experience working with Selenium WebDriver
