Job Summary

As the Lead OEM Program Manager, you will work with highly-skilled teams to implement best-of-class products, driving launches through the Product Lifecycle framework, and being part of an innovative and collaborative environment.

The Lead OEM Program Manager will ensure efficient and successful product delivery by driving organizational readiness across all functional areas and across all Product Lifecycle stages from inception to end-of-life. The successful candidate will have extensive experience executing complex, cross-functional programs, focusing specifically on OEM platform and application integrations, and will possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to articulate the value of product initiatives and motivate teams to deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties

  • Drive OEM product launches through cross-functional collaboration across all phases of the Product Lifecycle including all activities necessary to conceive, qualify, plan, launch, and end-of-life products
  • Invest in the total success of products and initiatives by decisively defining and managing critical milestones, dependencies, and risks
  • Develop efficient and professional relationships with OEM partners while delivering quality products
  • Lead and coordinate OEM component qualification activities including execution of launch plans and readiness milestones
  • Proactively solve conflicts around resources, schedules, risks, scope and other program-level issues
  • Professionally and assertively assume ownership of deliverables and harness chaos and/or ambiguity into driving quality results
  • Provide clear direction (and support) to multiple teams simultaneously, in all aspects of the program
  • Cultivate respect-based relationships across the organization including technology, finance, sales, marketing, and operations through demonstrated expertise and action-based leadership
  • Prepare and deliver program status updates and presentations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership team

 

Qualifications

Skills & Other Requirements

  • EDUCATION: BA/BS in Engineering, Business or related field; Advanced degree preferred
  • CERTIFICATION: PMP certification preferred; Agile certification helpful
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 8 – 10 years’ program management and/or product management experience with an emphasis on cross-functional planning, delivery, and reporting on complex, OEM programs

                                                         

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Experience in successfully leading complex, high-dollar, high-profile initiatives with specific experience in integrating hardware and software into 3rd party systems
  • Understanding of embedded systems within the automotive/trucking industry; Experience with OEM cybersecurity validation framework
  • Familiarity with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or similar process
  • Successful application of Product Lifecycle principles in managing initiatives through each phase from ‘cradle to grave’
  • Ability to understand and work with technical concepts and creatively apply these concepts to product innovation and strategic portfolio alignment
  • Strong team-player with proven ability to effectively work with and influence engineering, sales, marketing, finance and operations
  • Exceptional people skills with the ability to coach and motivate team members to be successful in their roles
  • Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
  • Flexibility and understanding of implications of change to product launches and resources at both a strategic and tactical level
  • Experience in driving change in an evolving organization while achieving high-quality results
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office, Visio, and Excel; JIRA and Confluence experience preferred
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding presentation skills – ability to communicate complex initiatives in a simple fashion for multiple audiences (i.e. Executive Leadership readouts/reviews)
