HR Business Partner

We are currently hiring for an HR Business Partner role at Vertafore. The role will fully partner with the business to lead and integrate company strategies. Additionally, this role will provide HR knowledge and expertise across a full spectrum of HR functions (including employment policies and practices, employee relations, compliance, immigration, talent management, employee development, and engagement).

 Key Responsibilities

  • Establish excellent relationships with a wide range of employees, from individual contributors to senior leaders; working with all levels on a frequent basis
  • Act as a coach, ambassador of the Vertafore Way, analyst, change agent, and expert within support areas
  • Partner with business units to ensure seamless execution of HR functions within the business including employee relations, performance management, compensation, and engagement practices
  • Build strong partnerships with client groups to foster trust, credibility, and accountability, ensuring the business needs are met in a timely manner and with the highest level of quality
  • Drive business results by identifying key HR issues within the departments you support, and present recommendations and alternatives to increase effectiveness and engagement. Use data to support these initiatives
  • Participate in special project work in the HR function including driving process improvement, facilitating communication, and balancing the needs of employees with the needs of the organization
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees
  • Perform ad-hoc requests and assist with special projects and other initiatives as needed
Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation/facilitation skills
  • Excellent judgement, critical thinking, and analytical skills with an ability to identify problems, collect data, and make appropriate recommendations
  • Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult situations
  • Great interpersonal skills, including collaboration skills
  • Flexible, innovative, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving work environment
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
  • Tech savvy with advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of immigration policies/regulations preferred
  • Experience supporting multi sites helpful
