Senior Financial Analyst - Free Cash Flow (FCF)

The Senior Financial Analyst – FCF is responsible for providing financial planning and analysis work of data related to cash. This person must be highly collaborative and work with cross functional groups in establishing KPIs and financial models. Models will be built on a lot of assumptions from Treasury, AR, AP, Sales, Tax and other Finance members, so a strong business acumen is imperative.


  • Finalize monthly analyses of business trends and budget variance of financial results and Key Performance Indicators to be used in management reviews and strategic business analysis sessions
  • Perform historical and future analysis regarding revenue in a way that connects financial information, underlying business drivers, and SaaS industry trends specific to each business
  • Gather, model and interpret the deferred revenue waterfalls and articulate how this relates to billings and revenue in future months
  • Responsible for developing data expertise and working closely with the team to craft and deliver the story to senior leadership
  • Will play the lead role in the budgeting and forecasting processes and key contributor to the monthly reporting package
  • Will partner closely with Sales Operations to provide data inputs for Sales Deep Dive presentations and Ad-Hoc analysis
  • Create expert level financial and operational models
  • Daily work in aggregating, summarizing, analyzing, and presenting data in a manner that supports decision making
  • Continuous process improvements: Identify, Lead, and Create process and model improvements, not just maintain them
  • Research, establish, track, trend, and report key financial and operational metrics
  • Execute and perform tasks contributing to the completion of the annual budget
  • Scenario planning models that provide results on various “what if” scenarios 
  • Benchmark Company performance vs SaaS industry trends
  • Train and share knowledge of modeling and data analytics with team
  • Project management across functions; including financial and operational information
  • Investigate and explain operational and financial variances
  • Proactively spot and communicate trends and risks within financial statements, analyses, and projects 
  • Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team 
  • Ad hoc and on-demand analytics to support executive leadership and third parties
Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or a related Business field
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience and the ability to perform complex financial analysis and modeling, assess operating metrics, and create presentations that simplify complex or detailed analytics
  • Relevant experience with respect to Free Cash Flow analysis in a SaaS industry, required
  • Strong understanding of cash flow concepts and principles
  • Big 4 and public accounting experience, strongly preferred
  • Understanding of accounting rules and principles related to balance sheet and revenue, required
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, required
  • System experience with Adaptive Insights, highly preferred
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills; able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy and review, but must have ability to see the big picture 
  • Must have a proactive, positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with other departments throughout the company
  • Possess a strong initiative to search for and implement process improvements and efficiencies
