Project Engineer delivers results by leading multiple tactical projects of high complexity in scope and involve multiple cross functional areas. Project Engineer ensures processes and solutions align with business objectives, while working collaboratively within technology and the business units to achieve the stated objectives, measurable goals, and deliverables of these projects. 



  1. Managing Clients and Projects  

  1. Serve as point of contact for clients for product solution design, functionality and delivery.  

  1. Manage all the requirements in the project. Should be aware of all project discussions either internal or with client and ensure meeting notes & related documents are prepared by the team or self.  

  1. Build and lead development and testing projects supported by engineering personnel.  

  1. Work closely with product managers to ensure results meet or exceeds client requirements, including ensuring that product designs are documented and communicated.  

  1. Manage development of project using VUE architecture and related technologies  

  1. Presenting to clients and management  

  1. Help the Project Managers and Marketing Team to present and discuss the product technical architecture with the clients.  

  1. Being a technical force, present the management with detailed technical feasibility study and results of it.  

  1. Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.  

  1. Assist the management team in defining products’ direction, including in-depth engineering analysis of current and future software products.  

  1. Project Planning, Developing & Delivery 

  1. Knowing overall project and understanding how it fits in client's business objectives  

  1. Deliver finished, high quality, and compelling software products.  

  1. Helping the project team with R&D activity, if project needs it.  

  1. Drive overall architecture, security and certifications of software products.  

  1. Develop and execute software engineering plans, schedules, and resource allocation including managing joint development with 3rd party vendors and outsourced development efforts.  

  1. Monitor and help triage/assign the defects on a timely basis to team and provide help in quickly resolving them.  

  1. Handle multiple projects and manage the time and deliverables appropriately.  

  1. Usage of VUE Tools  

  1. Utilize VUE Tools like Admin Configuration, Integration Manager, Deployment Manager, Horizon STS and Document Manager while developing the project.  

  1. Configure Horizon Workflow and Rules Engine to manage process flow and validations  

  1. Help team members with specific knowledge of compliance modules like NIPR, PDB while working with Agent/Agency management  

  1. Processes & Reviews  

  1. Manage Resource Planning and Resource Productivity  

  1. Ensure every effort is planned, estimated, tracked to meet the project goals.  

  1. Provide sound decision making for software engineering and product development, sensitive to the constraints and needs of the business.  

  1. Manage the software engineering schedules to meet or beat deadlines.  

  1. Monitor technology trends such as emerging standards.  

  1. Develop, document, and enforce software engineering processes to ensure reproducible high-quality results within cost constraints.  

  1. Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, design, and review of software developed in-house as well as technologies.  

  1. Driving Team & Conducting Evaluations  

  1. Provide leadership and guidance to the software development team.  

  1. Work with product management team, support team, and professional services team to understand customer requirements and software issues.  

  1. Provide employee development, teambuilding, coaching, and mentoring  

  1. Conduct performance evaluations on a timely basis and communicate to the team member with appropriate feedback. 

  1. Support employees by procuring and maintaining software tools, test equipment, and engineering lab resources  

Skills & Requirements

Preferred Skills: 

  1. Prime technical skills include: .Net Framework 3.5+ with C#.Net, Web API / ASMX Web ServicesMVC architecture with razor view engine 

  1. Knowledge of JavascriptJQuery, Ajax, Telerik UI controls with Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, ERD Design; Stored Procedures, ETL tools, is expected. 

  1. Proficiency with MS OfficeMS Project and MS Visio preferred. 

  1. Experience with VUE tools like RADMan and IncidentTrack is a plus. 

  1. Knowledge of the VUE suite of products is preferred. 

  1. Willingness to travel as per project needs  

  1. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to create systems and user documents and similar documentation 

  1. Experience with high visibility projects, comfortable reporting status and issues to C level management 

  1. Experience managing all phases of the SDLC for application development efforts  

  1. Experience documenting business work flows and reengineering work flows to leverage new system and technology capabilities 

  1. Experience managing development projects using an Agile development approach 

  1. Able to motivate and lead a team (both US and India teams).  

  1. Strong software product development and engineering process skills.  

  1. Good understanding of the software business and its practices.  

  1. Strong communications skills, both in writing and speaking.  

  1. Ability to excite and motivate employees, partners, and customers with a compelling vision.  

  1. Good organizational and time management skills.  

  1. Ability to multi-task and successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources to meet deadlines.
