Michael Grossi joined Vista Equity Partners in 2025 and is a member of the private equity Foundation team.

Michael has 30 years of experience leading transformative growth strategies for public, private and PE-backed technology companies.

Prior to Vista, he was the CEO and Board Director of four software companies: Operative (Francisco Partners), Lakeside Software (Insight Partners), HealthcareSource (sold to Symplr) and Ipswitch (sold to Progress Software). Over the course of his career, he led six sale transactions spanning take-privates, carve-outs, and leveraged buyouts.

Prior to his CEO roles, Michael held senior executive positions in sales, product, strategy consulting and business development. He launched his career as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, where he oversaw software and technology defense programs in the Space and Intelligence Commands.

Michael serves on the Provost Board at Villanova University and previously served on the Dean’s Advisory Council.
