Financial Analyst I

Entry Level

AGDATA | Finance/Accounting | Charlotte, NC

AGDATA, LP is currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail oriented Financial Analyst I in our Charlotte, NC office on our FP&A Team.  This will resource will be brought on to assist with forecasting, standard reporting and ad-hoc analysis.  We are looking for someone to grow with our team and who can bring fresh ideas to the organization.  If that’s you, see below!


  • Create and maintain monthly forecast and annual budget models for revenue, gross margin and operating expenses as well as a process to forecast working capital and cash flow requirements
  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans and operating forecasts
  • Back up Director in all manners related to large deal review process, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis
  • Own all forms of ad-hoc analysis and modeling for items ranging from Revenue and EBITDA “bridges” and headcount capacity to Gross Margin and Business Unit-Level P&Ls
  • Monitor sales pipeline and organizational bookings, which includes conducting follow-up activity with sales organization and business leaders
  • Liaise with Accounting on management reporting needs and better understanding of actuals
  • Participate in annual operating and capital budget process, assisting the monthly closing, forecast updates and budget consolidations
  • Provide support to sales and operational teams in assessing pricing and profitability of new business opportunities
  • Prepare pro forma projections for both existing and new business opportunities
  • Model multiple scenarios to support new business initiatives including potential acquisition targets or new investments
Skills & Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • 6-12 months of experience in a Business environment (Investment Banking, Financial Analysis, Risk Management, etc)
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem solving skills, with an ability to understand key business and market issues driving financial results
  • Self-driven and proactive with a high level of initiative and intellectual curiosity
  • Able to develop solutions and generate new and unique ideas
  • Responsive and timely, with a developed sense of urgency to meet sometimes tight deadlines
  • Close attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture
