Position Summary:
As our Vice President, NAVEXEngage, you will be the business leader driving innovation and rapid growth for the NAVEXEngage division of the company.  NAVEXEngage produces best-in-class E&C online training, code of conduct, and awareness (printed) products in a rapidly-growing and competitive global market.  Your leadership and strategic vision will be the driving force in creating the roadmap to drive our aggressive growth targets, as you research, present and implement new strategies and programs for acquiring and retaining customers.  You will use your expertise in driving YOY revenue growth in a related/similar sector to Global Ethics and Compliance and/or the Training Industry to drive up to 5x revenue growth globally for our suite of Ethics and Compliance trainings and offerings.



In This Role You Will Own:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Your growth strategies will take into account a whole-product view of training, awareness and code of conduct by collaborating with marketing, sales, services, and technical teams to ensure alignment on positioning, pricing, packaging, go-to-market, implementation, support and retention strategies.
  • Provide visionary executive leadership and strategic planning for the online training and awareness team.  
  • Determine team structure, accountability and organizational management for program delivery.
  • Manage the team to execute against team plans in alignment with company bookings, billings and customer renewal targets.
  • Communicate with customers, partners, thought leaders and other representatives from the ethics and compliance industry to identify trends that affect training and awareness needs.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and lead competitive strategy.
  • If the background, experience and persona of the Vice President is such that the executive would serve NAVEX’s growth plans well as an industry thought leader, he/she may be leveraged at times as such through presentations, blog posts, and other public-facing mediums, such as representing the organization at industry events to enhance the organization's industry profile.
  • Ensure that growth plans encompass the requirement for all solutions to meet content, format and technical needs of US and global audiences.
  • Use your expertise to implement a strategy for change management and team coordination.
  • Leverage the expertise of your team of experts within NAVEXEngage regarding learning styles and modalities in order to develop competitively-differentiated content that supports learner comprehension and retention.


  • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of your organization
  • Adjust teams and operations to enhance quality and efficiency of products and client deliverables
  • Work collaboratively with other executive managers to ensure seamless operations across the enterprise
  • Work with CTO and CFO to prepare and manage a comprehensive budget
  • Achieve revenue, profit, and other financial targets set for the business

Skills & Requirements


  • A University degree in an applicable field
  • Experience driving innovation and revenue growth for a business unit, team or product suite generating a minimum of $15-20M+, managing a total group of 20+ team members.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role within a B-to-B global solutions business is required, in an industry sector/subsector whereby the challenges, subject matter and growth opportunities levers are similar to E&C Training and Awareness and from which your experience is valuable and transferable to that of NAVEXEngage.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze global markets and identify strategic opportunities for profitable revenue growth and penetration, whether it be pricing, content, delivery modalities, or other.  Must be able to make a solid business case for these growth strategies based on data/market research.
  • Ideally, our selected candidate will likely be at heart a technologist on some level, having an understanding of how technology has been leveraged in the past in similar B2B companies, how it is being used today.  Ideally, the candidate will have the kind of affinity and grasp on technology which fuels accumulating and maintaining awareness of a broad range of cutting edge technologies – software, hardware, tools, devices, connectivity, security, piracy protection, etc.  The level of technology understanding we seek is based on the depth which would be deemed important in order to either weave technological innovation into our solutions, or to base innovation directly upon technology related advancements.  
  • An effective, executive level product management understanding is important, whether it be gained by directly or indirectly overseeing/managing product development teams
  • Exposure to the crucial role of Ethics and Compliance in a company culture and a general knowledge of and understanding of the benefits of an Effective Compliance and Ethics Program is paramount. This exposure and understanding may have been gained in many different ways.
  • Experience working within matrixed organizations in which collaboration with sales, marketing, implementation and services was integral to success, is key.
  • Demonstrable P&L responsibility for a growing business.
  • Availability to travel as needed to support business growth and operations.
  • Desired:
    • Experience in /exposure to the E&C and or Training/eLearning vendor community and to the existing solutions currently offered to our current and potential client base in these niche markets is a real plus.
    • An understanding of instructional design principles or learning science.
    • Experience monetizing content with a limited shelf life, exposure to Library Management/Maintaining Titles could prove to be helpful.
    • The background and experience required to serve immediately as an industry thought leader within E&C and/or Training is a plus.
